2023 Music Schedule in Lake George

Guests at Shore Meadows Lodge can enjoy free live music on the shores of Lake George nearly every day of the week. Just a 10-minute walk along Canada Street, the Shepard Park outdoor amphitheater hosts a variety of musical acts and events throughout the summer and fall.

Musical Mondays

Featuring two of the Northeast’s music legends, Musical Mondays at Shepard Park will have you singing and dancing along to all the hits of yesterday and today.

Tuesday Tribute Concerts

Tuesdays in July and August are for paying tribute to popular artists, bands and music styles both past and present. Performances will be held on July 11, 18 and 25, and August 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29.

Wednesday Summer Concert Series

Presented by the Lake George Arts Project, this free summer concert series is held on Wednesday nights in July and August, with a special Thursday night performance this year. All shows start at 7:00 PM with the exception of the 50th Anniversary Party on August 24.

Thursday Community Band Concerts

The Lake George Community Band will hold free concerts on Thursday July 6, 20 and 27 starting at 8:00 PM, followed by the Village of Lake George Fireworks display on July 20 and 27. The Lake George Community Band will also host their annual all-day Community Band Festival on Saturday, July 15.

Fridays at the Lake

This Bands & Brews Concert Series features live music from 6:00-9:30 PM every Friday from July 7 through September 1. There’s also a beer and wine garden, food vendors, bounce houses and a face painter for the kids.

Saturday & Sunday Night Live

You’ll find live music all weekend long at many of the local restaurants and bars. Adjacent to Shepard Park, the Lake George Beach Club hosts a variety of local musicians and bands, and offers live music on two floors, seven days a week.

2023 Music Festivals

Rock the Dock

July 8

Featuring live music, craft beer, food and art vendors, this one-day music festival is held on the Lake George Steamboat Company pier. Enjoy the sounds of well-known jam bands from the dock or on board the steamboats surrounding the stage. Gates open at 3:30 PM, kids 15 and under accompanied by an adult are free.

Lake George Community Band Festival

July 15

Hosted by the Lake George Community Band, this free, day-long festival at the Shephard Park amphitheater features performances by Phoenix Community Band, the Concert Band of Kanata, Simsbury Community Band, Ballston Spa Community Band, Maybrook Wind Ensemble, Honeoye Falls Community Concert Band, and the Lake George Community Band. Music from 1:00-8:30PM.

Lake George Music Festival

August 6-17

This world-class chamber music and orchestra festival features open rehearsals, live concerts, interactive workshops and more at the Carriage House at Fort William Henry. Festival passes include admission to all performances and events, as well as an add-on package for museum tours, a wine tasting and a scenic cruise on Lake George.

Jazz at the Lake

September 15-17

Now in its 39th year, the Lake George jazz weekend is one of the Northeast’s premier jazz festivals, and it remains free and open to all. Talented musicians from around the country perform at the Shepard Park amphitheater beginning at 6:00 PM on Friday, and continuing throughout the afternoon and evening on Saturday and Sunday.
